Claire is a fully qualified music therapist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the British Association of Music Therapists (BAMT). She trained and qualified as a music therapist at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, City of London, in 1995.

Jennie has a very wide range of experience in the NHS and education. Work in the NHS has included adult, acute and forensic mental health and community learning disability services. Over many years with Hertfordshire Music Service, Claire set up a service for Looked After Children, and worked extensively with children and young people with autism, emotional and communication difficulties and also initiated and ran group and individual work with adults with learning disabilities and dementia in residential care.

Claire has a particular interest and experience in working with mainstream schools, and in using music therapy to help children integrate socially and academically. She has supervised many music therapy students on placement and is a registered supervisor with the British Association of Music Therapists (BAMT).

Claire plays the piano, the organ and the guitar, and uses singing regularly.  She also works as a freelance classical musician.
